Alexa Prisco isn't known for sitting back and just letting things happen—this Jersey girl takes charge! So, it's no surprise that the new mom didn't just buy a crib and a few outfits for her little girl's nursery. The Glam Fairy turned the loft area of her New Jersey apartment into daugther McKayla's nursery with the help of Bratt Decor's Mary Bauer. After gathering ideas from baby magazines, Alexa told Mary that she wanted the room to be glam and girly. "The one thing I really did not want was for it to look like my closet," Alexa told Style. "That has a punchy hot pink and black, a more boutique look. I wanted to make sure that whatever I brought up here, it was sophisticated." She wanted the room to be cozy and beautiful while still allowing McKayla to have her own identity. Shunning the bright white that's often typical in nurseries, Alexa opted for a soft pink combined with rich chocolate brown and black for a dark, Parisian look. So, Mary got to work! Taking into consideration the size of the space and the colors Alexa wanted to use, the two settled on a classic look with pieces like the Venetian crib and classic monogrammed armoire. Alexa added even more personal touches, like the custom-painted pink chandelier, which Alexa described as "perfect." In fact, those ended up being Alexa's three favorite pieces! "I love the frosted glass with the pink," Alexa said of the armoire. "It's very special and something she can have for her whole life." In the end, Alexa and husband Danny were thrilled with the nursery. Mary was really happy with the results, too! "I love the way the room turned out," Mary said. "I think the space is elegant—but not stuffy—and practical. But most of all, I love that Alexa loved it." Now that McKayla is here, Alexa and Danny get to enjoy time with their little girl in a room all three of them can be happy with. In fact, it's so amazing that Alexa doesn't know if they'll ever move!
