Us Weekly - Mario Lopez's New Nursery

September 20, 2010
HOT PICS!

Mario Lopez's New Nursery

Oh Baby! The Extra host and dad-to-be takes Us inside his tot's new room.

When Mario Lopez and girlfriend Courtney Mazza transformed a bedroom in their new Glendale, California, home for the little on they're expecting this month, they were inspired - by Jennifer Lopez! "I saw a picture of J. Lo's twins' nursery, and I thought, It's so timeless and elegant," says the mom-to-be, 28. "So we found her decorator, Mary Bauer from Bratt Decor." The designer furnished the room in gender-neutral shades because the couple, who met in 2008 while working on Broadway's A Chorus Line, are waiting until delivery day to learn the sex of their firstborn. "Where else in life do you get such special surprises?" asks the Extra host, 36. "I hope with all our kids it will be a surprise." That's right: The TV star (who has penned a book for first-time dads due out next year) wants more children. "As many as she'll give me," he says, laughing. "At least three!"

"We're paying homage to family," says Lopez of the photos of his and Mazza's siblings as kids.

"If we have a girl, I'll add splashes of purple, " says Mazza. And for a boy? "Tiffany Blue!"

"It's peaceful decor," she says of the Chelsea Armoire ($2,517), glider ($1,345) and ottoman ($435).

Lopez's layette? It's tricky, says Mazza: "I don't know what to buy. Everything's yellow or green!"
