People takes a look at the blissfully happy Marcia Cross and her two gorgeous girls, Savannah and Eden. There's also a great shot of the fabulous nursery, designed by Mary Bauer of Bratt Decor and House, Inc's, Annette Tatum.

Within the photo, you can see the striking dick crib in white, tree artwork, and lavender glass table lamp, all supplied by Bratt! Not shown: dick changer, night stand, armoire with custom painted polka dots, jane table and chairs set, mirror, shelf, and lots of accessory items, including: stuffed elephant, stacking bins, and tower of time hand prints. Marcia told us personally, it's by far the best room in her house! Thanks, Marcia!

Charles Neal Interiors balances Hollywood glam with Southern warmth for R&B producer Tricky Stewart’s first California home.

For Ellah, Stewart’s infant daughter, Neal focused on combining textures to create depth. Ella’s crib is covered with a sheer silk cloth edged with a boa, and her drapes are embroidered with tone-on-tone detailing. The furniture is plush and oversized, creating a whimsical aesthetic that isn’t, as Neal says, “too girly or princess-y.” The Stewart residence was completed in December 2010 and remains a modern, glamorous LA home with just enough warmth and charm to make it elegant and comfortable.

Take a peek inside "Numb3rs" star, Diane Farr's eclectic home. Great photo of the nursery.

LOS ANGELES--It's a warm spring morning when Diane Farr, 36, swings open the front door to her cozy 1920s Spanish-style bungalow. The actress is enjoying a rare day off from taping the hit CBS series Numb3rs and caring for her 5-week-old son, Beckett.

"It's pretty exhausting," she says, walking by a floor-to-ceiling arched window in the sunlit foyer of the three-bedroom, two-bath home. "I keep feeling like the adrenaline is going to run out at some point."

Luckily, Farr and her husband, Seung Chung, 36, a marketing executive, have had plenty of help with midnight feedings. "My family just came and left, and his parents came and left," she says with a hint of panic--the couple has yet to hire a nanny. "Now my mom is back because we're shooting the season finale for Numb3rs. (It airs

As far as Samantha is concerned, her first baby, 1-month-old Josselyn, is a princess. So it's only fitting she have a regal room, completely furnished by Bratt Decor.

Josselyn sleeps in the gorgeous Chelsea Cradle in Buttermilk and will graduate to the Chelsea Sleigh crib in a few months time. Josselyn also has the Chelsea changing table with removable change top, which will grow with her for years to come.

It's surreal to be getting ready for twins--I can't believe it's actually happening.

Charlie is a baseball fanatic, so we decided to go with a subtle baseball theme for the nursery. We told our designer that we didn't want anything too over the top, and she struck the perfect balance between sporty and sophisticated. Simple touches like the adorable baseball lamps are fun but subtle.

Charlie was very involved in the planning; he cares about all the little details. He wanted to make sure that the carpet was nice and plush! And the twin glider rocking chairs and ottomans will be perfect for baseball watching with the boys!

It's hard to name my favorite part of the nursery, but I love the sleek cribs and changer from Bratt Decor's Blu Collection! They look like they will stand up to the destruction of two boys. And I am also super excited

Furniture is perhaps the biggest purchase, both in size and price that parents make for their children's rooms.

According to New York-based Easy Analytic Software Inc., youth bedroom furniture will have one of the biggest sales increases of all furniture products between 2006 and 2011. In fact, only entertainment furniture is expected to see greater sales increases.

Both youth bedroom and infant furniture are expected to grow sales faster than the 27% projected for all furniture in the next five years. EASI projects a 29.5% increase in sales of youth bedroom, from $5.08 billion in 2006 to $6.58 billion in 2011 and a 28.5% increase for infant furniture, from $1.18 billion last year to $1.52 billion in 2011.

Even though the projected numbers and some manufacturers are optimistic, there still are sections of the country and the industry where the economy is soft and business is described as flat. However, with about 4.1

Designing a nursery is a labor of love. A few careful considerations at the beginning can save you both time and money along the way. Check out these 8 elegant nurseries that will grow with your child and look amazing along the way.

1. consider non traditional lighting. We are swooning over this rose globe drop pendant, that is romantic and sculptural. This is not what you'd think of for a nursery, but it works. It will continue to work and look amazing as your child grows.

2. Pick classic patterns: Adorn your walls with classic looks and add in age appropriate toys and accents that speak to the stage your child is enjoying at the moment.

3. Choose a Sophisticated Color Pallet: Think beyond pink and blue, and do a bold adult color. Dark charcoal gray is sophisticated and enduring.

4. Keep themes to a minimum: In this gorgeous

Fall 2006
Numb3rs and former Rescue Me star Diane Farr furnished her entire nursery in Bratt Decor. Her first born is due to make his arrival in mid-March, but the mommy-to-be is well prepared having received all of her Bratt Decor furnishings the last week of September, and from what we've been told the nursery is beautiful!

Farr began looking for nursery furniture before there was a baby. Farr says that through her search she found nothing that came close to the beauty and peace of Bratt Decor.

Farr mixed and matched pieces from the hippest collection in baby, Bratt Decor. Like the true maverick she is she chose a burnished gold Venetian crib, accompanied with a Chelsea changer in espresso, and two accessory shelves from the Dick line, which she painted herself to match the espresso finish of the Chelsea.

We are proud to welcome Ms. Farr into the Bratt Decor family

Cashmere for toddlers, handmade lotions and soaps from an agricultural cooperative in northern Israel and tuxedos for Gen-Y males are just a few of the new products retailers are designing new concepts around.

The retail industry has become so saturated with me-too concepts that new retailers, in order to succeed, need to have a laser focus on their market segment and open stores different from those already in the market.

"We are seeing people take one thing and try to become really good at it," says Mike Tesler, partner and principal of Retail Concepts. The Norwell, Mass.-based firm consults with new business owners to help them establish their chains. "If you get known for being the best at that one thing, you've won the game in retail."

For example, Sabon, an Israeli-based chain that sells bath and beauty products, has a more narrowly defined market than mainstream competitors Bath & Body Works and

Madonna, Cindy Crawford, and Heather Locklear are just a few of the celebrity moms with kids we love to watch. You can be sure these moms want the finest in room decor for their babies and children. This desire has probably helped fuel a race to bring luxurious kids furniture and accessories to market.

We're not sure how many new parents will actually pop for the $28,000 castle bed featured in the 2000 issue of the Neiman Marcus Catalog.

But they might opt for some of the more affordable, though still plush items for babies and children that are currently available. Just what are the trends in opulence for kids? Currently in fashion is the Italian villa look using warm color-washed walls in golden yellows and furnished with trendy wrought iron furniture (such as the baby changing table from Bratt Decor pictured at right).

Another trend is hot colors. One recent Designer Showhouse

New parents spend between $5,000 and $15,000 to decorate Baby's nursery, according to the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association, driving a $7.3 billion industry. That's a lot of money to spend on a room Junior can't enjoy until he's crawling.

Parents spend a lot of time in their new baby's room, which is why some parents consider their own decorating likes and dislikes when creating a nursery.

Sarah Horn, owner of SHA, said parents are looking for custom pieces to put in nurseries. "People are liking to create their own now, versus buying something off the shelf," she said. "Once somebody realizes they can really put their personal touch on it, they tend to like it."

Including Mom and Dad's personality in nursery decor gives the room a comfortable and personal feel. It also creates a space they enjoy spending time in-and they will be spending a lot of time in it.
