Bratt Decor, http://www.brattdecor.com, the online, high-end infant and toddler furniture and accessory store favored by the stars (Heidi Klum, Tori Spelling and Courteney Cox are customers), recently opened its first retail store in our area (another is in Baltimore). At the Falls Church location, the style is high and so are the prices. Find the basics: animal-shaped soaps, books, bedding, birth announcements and night lights (from $4.50 to $230), and the not-so-basics: Venetian iron cribs ($875), leather kiddie club chairs in pink and red ($180), tricked-out trikes ($249) and a vintage, pram-inspired doll carriage ($700). Our favorite fantasy find: the stunning Silver Cross pram with an equally stunning price tag ($4,000).
The store is at 7505 Leesburg Pike. For more information, call 703-448-6833.
In Touch Magazine is reporting that actress Halle Berry is buying in sets of two for her baby. It's not twins though, she just has two houses. Some people have it so bad! "Halle doesn't want her baby confused," an insider says. "She's duplicating everything down to the crib, the linens, and even the stuffed animals."
Among her double purchases have been two Bratt Decor Chelsea Sleigh Cribs in Espresso, and two Tiny Love Mobiles.

Here's what we like: A shamelessly feminine nursery that manages to be posh and sophisticated as the same time--much like a certain little girl who lives at the Plaza Hotel. Modern, romantic and whimsical at the same time, this Eloise-inspired nursery reminds us of Dior's New Look. Sometimes it's OK to just enjoy being a girl.
Check out Bratt Decor's ultra feminie furnishings (Jane crib and changer/dresser) featured throughout this Eloise-inspired nursery! We like this look too!

With modern nurseries all the rage, we have neglected the beautiful, more traditional furniture for your little ones. Bratt Decor is one of my favorite children's designer furniture lines. Ryan and Trista Sutter mix and matched Bratt Decor pieces for son Max's Nursery. They selected the Casablanca Premiere crib in pewter, the accompanying day bed, a pewter Zanzibar rocking cradle, and the Chelsea changer/dresser in buttermilk.
I adore the Chelsea Collection in espresso. I think the rich brown adds a touch of sophistication and balance to the delicate pastels common for baby bedding. Other finishes include antique silver and buttermilk. The sleigh crib ($1320) and double dresser ($1738) adds stunning elegance to any nursery. The detailed carvings (left) and hand rubbed finishes are only the begining of Bratt Decor quality. The crib changes into a toddler bed with the conversion kit ($253). You can purchase a changing tray ($132) that

Project Nursery is the ultimate children's design resource, and owner, Melisa Flurh choose Bratt Decor's Joy Iron Baby Crib in gold for her beautiful baby girl, Emerson Grace. More and more of them are thinking outside the box and when it comes to engaging customers, either with free services and design assistance, websites or educational classes and gift registries. All of Kids Today's innovators are independents and many of them family owned. Some stores are newcomers to the industry with a year or two under their proverbial belts, while others have been in business for more than 60 years. But most importantly, to us, is the number if these innovative retailers who carry and sell Bratt Decor products as their key vendors.
